Jeff Berry: Sippin' Safari: In Search of the Great "Lost" Tropical Drink Recipes... and the People Behind Them
I tried and tried to find this book at Christmas time, the other weekend, voila! ther it was at the local comic book store.
This is an amazing, amazing book I can not recommend it enough. If you Love, cocktails, the 1950's & 60's, exotica or living a groovy life, this book is for you.
Laurie Perry: Crazy Aunt Purl's Drunk, Divorced, and Covered in Cat Hair: The True-Life Misadventures of a 30-Something Who Learned to Knit After He Split
This is based loosely on one of my favorite blogs
Scott Westerfeld: Uglies (Uglies Trilogy, Book 1)
I've been reading some of Westerfeld's books on a recommendation from BoingBoing. Yes they are youth/teen fiction but they are really good.
Warren Ellis: Nextwave: Agents Of H.A.T.E. Volume 2 - I Kick Your Face TPB (Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.)
Laugh out loud funny!
Douglas Coupland: JPod : A Novel
I went right out and bought this book, in hardback no less. Coupland is one of my most favorite authors. Microserfs is a desert island book for me. I'm scared to start this one, because if I start it, I will finish it, then I would have it to look forward to anymore.
Anthony Bourdain: Kitchen Confidential : Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly
Love this man!
Jennifer Traig: Devil in the Details : Scenes from an Obsessive Girlhood
This is the most amazing book. Iwant to make my mother read it and realize I was not the most miserable teenager, there was some one out more miserable than me. So there!
Bruce Campbell: Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way
I just adore him, and I got my copy of the book signed by Bruce himself , at the fabulous San Diego Book store Mysterious Galaxy
Sean Astin: There and Back Again : An Actor's Tale
I've just started this. I though he was so wonderful as Sam Gamgee.
Isaac Adamson: Tokyo Suckerpunch : A Billy Chaka Adventure
A fun new mystery I picked up at the library. Make me want to go to Japan even more.
Patrick O'Brian: Master and Commander
I've been reading this book forever,(way before they made the movie) it's good but "Muy Macho" and I can only handle that much testosterone in small doses.
Nigella Lawson: How to Be a Domestic Goddess: Baking and the Art of Comfort Cooking
I want to gow up to be Nigella.
John De Graaf: Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic
Is it wrong to buy a book that says "buying" is wrong?
